Maison Mellerio, particularly renowned in the 19th century for its colorful high jewelry Romantique, is enriching its “Pierreries” collection this spring with a version characterized by extreme softness, an ode to nature’s marvelous pink cameo colors that every woman dreams of adorning herself with. Each stone chosen by Artistic Director Laure-Isabelle Mellerio plays its own incarnate note in a chromatic palette
where tenderness and delicacy merge with strength and intensity. 

The pink palette of this new Pierreries necklace is like an ode to femininity, magnifying the skin tone like a subtle make-up for the woman who wears it: the pastel softness of rose quartz, the powdery elegance of opals, the peachy pink tenderness of morganite, the delicate lilac pinks of kunzite, while the varied reflections of lavender quartz bring originality to a strong, assumed femininity. As in previous sets, all these gems are delicately enhanced by the contrast of the precious metal, subtly shaded from yellow
to pink through the brilliance of green gold, the whole forming a vegetal pattern and reminding us that Mellerio is also the great historical jeweler of naturalism.
